Guides & FAQ

Useful answers before wallpaper goes up.

Wallpaper is a visual choice, but a good result also depends on surfaces, materials and planning. Here are the questions that often matter first.

Call before you have every detail.
A simple conversation can help you decide what to look at next.

What should I think about before choosing wallpaper?

Start with the room and the feeling you want from it. Then consider the wall condition, the scale of the pattern, how much light the room gets and whether the paper is traditional, peel-and-stick or a specialty material. The product instructions and the wall beneath it both matter.

Does the wall need preparation?

Often, yes. Texture, repairs, old adhesive, nail pops and uneven areas can show through a wallcovering or affect adhesion. The right preparation depends on the existing surface and the material being installed. A conversation about the wall is a useful first step.

How important is pattern matching?

Pattern repeat influences how the paper is laid out and where seams are most visible. A large mural, a geometric repeat and a small botanical pattern each call for different planning. The goal is a composed visual rhythm across the wall, not simply the fastest possible placement.

Is peel-and-stick wallpaper easier?

Peel-and-stick can be removable and approachable for some projects, but it still needs a suitable surface and careful alignment. Wall texture, corners and the product itself can affect the result. Ask about the material you have in mind rather than assuming every removable paper behaves the same way.

Can I call before I know my measurements?

Yes. An initial conversation does not require detailed measurements. You can explain the room and ask what information would be helpful. If an on-site assessment or measurements may make sense, you can ask whether that can be arranged for your project.

What affects an estimate?

Project scope, wall condition, material, pattern complexity, access and the number of walls or rooms can all matter. Photos and measurements may help with a more detailed conversation, but they are optional aids rather than a requirement to make contact.
